Pricing

Certification Fees

WWEC publishes its fee bands so organisations can plan. Certification fees are scope-based: the price depends on the certification programme, organisational scope, workforce population, locations, assessment activities and selected services. Payment does not guarantee certification.

Application fee

Submitting a WWEC certification application is free of charge.

There is no application or registration fee for submitting an initial application for WWEC certification.

Following an initial review of the application and confirmation of the organisation's assessment scope, WWEC will issue the applicable assessment proposal and fee.

Submitting an application does not guarantee certification. Certification is awarded only after successful completion of the applicable assessment and certification decision process.

What determines the price

Five factors set your fee.

Organisation size

The fee band is set by the employee strength of the entity within the certification scope, not the wider group.

Package selected

Essential, Advanced or Excellence — the package sets the depth of assessment, insight and improvement support included.

Scope

The number of legal entities, locations and business units included in the certification scope.

Employee survey population

The size of the workforce population invited to the WWEC Employee Experience Survey within scope.

Optional services

Improvement advisory, additional reporting, workshops or extra site activity are quoted separately and are never a condition of certification.

Commercial terms

Taxes, expenses, renewal and payment

A detailed proposal states the applicable fees, inclusions, optional services, taxes, expenses, payment schedule and renewal assumptions before any commitment is made.

Initial payment

70% of the applicable fee is payable on execution of the commercial agreement.

Balance payment

The remaining 30% is payable before release of the final certification documentation and certificate administration.

Taxes

GST and other applicable taxes are extra, charged at the prevailing statutory rate.

Travel and expenses

Remote assessment is included. Pre-approved on-site travel and accommodation are billed at actual cost.

Additional scope

Additional legal entities, locations, workforce populations or major scope changes may require revised fees.

Renewal

Renewal is a separate annual certification cycle at the then-current applicable rate.

Quote validity

A WWEC proposal is valid for 15 calendar days from issue.

Certification outcome

Payment does not guarantee certification. Certification depends on meeting the applicable WWEC requirements and the controlled certification decision.

Fee bands and scope

Published bands, confirmed scope.

The published fee bands are the standard pricing framework. The final fee follows the confirmed assessment scope.

Published fee bands

The published WWEC fee bands are the standard pricing framework for certification assessment.

Confirmed scope sets the fee

The final applicable fee is determined by the organisation's confirmed assessment scope, including the factors covered by the relevant published fee band.

Non-standard scope

Where an organisation has an unusually complex, multi-location or otherwise non-standard assessment scope, WWEC may issue a customised quotation.

Disclosed before payment

Any variation from the published standard fee will be disclosed and agreed before payment is requested.

Renewal and reassessment

What it costs to renew or be reassessed.

WWEC certification is valid for one year. Organisations wishing to maintain certification after the validity period must complete the applicable renewal process.

Renewal fees are based on the applicable WWEC assessment rate in effect at the time of renewal. The organisation will receive the applicable scope, fee and requirements before confirming its renewal.

Where additional assessment is required following an unsuccessful assessment outcome, material non-conformity, appeal outcome or other decision requiring reassessment, the reassessment fee depends on the work required.

Document-only reassessment

20% of the original assessment fee.

Limited reassessment

30% of the original assessment fee, where interviews or additional evidence review are required.

Substantial or full reassessment

Up to 50% of the original assessment fee.

New assessment

Where circumstances require a completely new assessment, the standard current assessment fee may apply.

The applicable reassessment scope and fee are communicated and accepted before reassessment begins.

Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds

What happens if you withdraw or cancel.

An organisation may withdraw its application or cancel an assessment by providing written notice to WWEC.

  1. STEP 01

    Before proposal acceptance

No charge applies where an organisation withdraws before accepting the assessment proposal.

  2. STEP 02

    After acceptance, before work begins

Where the 70% initial payment has been made but substantive assessment work has not commenced, WWEC refunds the amount paid less a 10% administrative and onboarding charge calculated against the total agreed assessment fee.

  3. STEP 03

    After assessment work has begun

WWEC deducts fees proportionate to work already completed, committed assessor time and any non-recoverable expenses. Any remaining balance from the amount paid is refunded.

  4. STEP 04

Cancellation close to a scheduled assessment

Where an organisation cancels or requests rescheduling less than 5 working days before a confirmed assessment activity, WWEC may charge reasonable non-recoverable assessor, travel or logistical costs.

  5. STEP 05

    After assessment completion

Fees are non-refundable once the assessment has been substantially completed or a certification decision has been issued, except where WWEC determines that a refund is appropriate because of an error attributable to WWEC.

  6. STEP 06

    WWEC cancellation

If WWEC cancels an assessment and cannot offer a mutually acceptable alternative, the organisation may choose either rescheduling without an additional assessment fee or a refund of fees paid for services not delivered.

Travel and expenses

Remote first, travel only when approved.

Remote assessment is used where appropriate to control costs and improve accessibility. Where on-site assessment is required, reasonable and necessary assessor travel and accommodation expenses may be charged separately from the assessment fee.

No chargeable travel is arranged without prior approval from the client.

Travel is charged at actual reasonable cost, without markup, against supporting documentation where appropriate.

The assessment proposal states whether anticipated travel is included in the quoted assessment fee, charged separately at actual cost, or not applicable because the assessment will be conducted remotely.

Commercial FAQs

Fees, payment, refunds and renewal — answered.

Yes. Submitting the initial certification application is free. Fees become applicable once the assessment scope has been established and the organisation chooses to accept the assessment proposal.

No. Payment covers the applicable assessment or service process and does not guarantee certification.

Unless otherwise stated in the approved proposal, 70% is payable upon acceptance and 30% at the applicable completion stage. Taxes are additional.

15 days from the proposal date.

The amount refundable depends on the stage reached. Before substantive assessment work begins, the payment is refundable less the applicable administrative charge. Once work has commenced, completed work, committed assessor time and non-recoverable costs are deducted before any balance is refunded.

The proposal states whether travel is included, charged separately or not required. Where charged separately, approved travel is normally charged at reasonable actual cost without markup.

Renewal is charged at the applicable WWEC rate in effect at the time of renewal. The organisation receives the applicable fee before committing to renewal.

Where additional assessment work is required, a reassessment fee may apply according to the scope of additional work. The fee is disclosed before reassessment begins.
