Index & Insights — Results

What your Index result tells you.

The WWEC Workplace Excellence Index™ produces a dimension-by-dimension picture of workplace experience. The result is a diagnostic signal, not a certificate — it tells you where to look deeper, where to act first and whether certification readiness is realistic.

Result structure

Eight dimensions. One overall score. Many decision points.

Overall score

An equal-weighted summary of performance across the eight WWEC dimensions, expressed as a percentage of the maximum possible score.

Dimension scores

Each of the eight dimensions is scored separately, so strengths and gaps are visible at a glance.

Index maturity band

Your overall Index score is interpreted using the approved WWEC Index score bands, providing a practical indication of your organisation’s current workplace excellence position.

Interpretation

How to read the result.

A score is only useful if it leads to action. WWEC results are interpreted with three questions in mind.

01

Where is the gap widest?

The lowest-scoring dimensions usually reveal where policy, practice and experience are most misaligned.
02

Where is evidence strong?

High-scoring dimensions can help identify areas where the organisation may wish to review supporting evidence and determine whether those strengths are demonstrated in practice.
03

What is the trend?

Repeated Index use shows whether improvement activities are actually changing the employee experience over time.

From result to action

Three typical paths after an Index result.

Improvement planning

Use the dimension breakdown to prioritise interventions before re-taking the Index or applying for certification.

Exploring certification readiness

An Index result can help an organisation identify areas to review before considering certification. Formal eligibility, scope, evidence and certification requirements are determined through the applicable WWEC certification process.

Benchmarking over time

Re-run the Index periodically to measure progress, communicate internally and inform leadership decisions.

Reading results

From score to direction.

Index results are designed to point to specific, actionable improvements — not to produce a single headline number.

Index results must not be presented as certification or accreditation. An Index score is not a certification decision and does not guarantee, constitute or imply the WWEC Women-Centred Workplace™ Certification.
