Trust & Governance

Scheme Governance

WWEC maintains governance arrangements for scheme development, operation, review, stakeholder participation, impartiality, change control and continuing suitability.

Scheme governance

Defined responsibilities across the scheme.

The WWEC Workplace Excellence System™ is governed through defined responsibilities for scheme ownership, scheme development, certification operations, assessment, technical review, certification decision-making and continual improvement.

Scheme Owner — Womenians Empowerment Foundation is the proposed Scheme Owner for the WWEC Workplace Excellence System™ and the applicable WWEC Women-Centred Workplace™ Certification Scheme, subject to formal governance approval and applicable accreditation requirements. The Scheme Owner is responsible for the governance, integrity, development, review and controlled maintenance of the certification scheme.

Certification Operations — Certification operations are undertaken through the designated certification entity and authorised personnel in accordance with the applicable certification scheme and controlled procedures.

Independence of Certification Decisions — Certification decisions are made by authorised personnel independent of the assessment activities for the organisation concerned, in accordance with the applicable certification scheme and decision-making requirements.

Impartiality — WWEC maintains arrangements intended to identify, evaluate, manage and monitor risks to impartiality.

Stakeholder Participation — Relevant stakeholders may contribute to the review and development of the scheme through defined consultation and review mechanisms.

Scheme Review and Change Control — The certification scheme is subject to periodic review. Changes affecting certification requirements, assessment methods, scoring, scope or certification decisions are managed through documented change-control processes.

The applicable controlled certification documents constitute the authoritative requirements for certification activities.
