A sector-level benchmark comparing eligible organisations against peers in the same industry, so progress is read against a relevant baseline rather than the market as a whole.

The WWEC Workplace Excellence Rankings™ - Industry group eligible organisations by industry classification and compare them on the same set of WWEC dimensions, accounting for the operating realities of that sector.
- Organisations are compared within a defined industry, not across unrelated sectors.
- Recognition reflects standing among relevant peers, not the whole certified population.
- Industry groupings and their definitions are published before a ranking cycle opens.
Eligibility
Who can be considered.
Eligibility for an industry ranking follows the same published rules that apply to WWEC rankings generally, with one additional requirement.
- The organisation has completed, or is undergoing, a qualifying WWEC assessment.
- The organisation is correctly classified within a published industry grouping.
- Sufficient organisations exist within the industry grouping to support a fair comparison.
- No fee is charged, and no fee can influence, a ranking position.
How placement is determined
Same evidence base, sector-adjusted comparison.
Placement uses the same categories of evidence as the WWEC Workplace Excellence Rankings™ — documented practice, employee experience and independent assessment findings — compared within the relevant industry grouping.
- The methodology and industry definitions are published before nominations open.
- Certification and ranking decisions remain separate and separately documented.
- Evidence supporting each placement is retained and available for review under WWEC's integrity rules.
Ranking cycle
How a placement is produced.
Every WWEC ranking follows the same published sequence, so a position can always be traced back to disclosed rules and retained evidence.
Publish rules
Methodology, groupings and eligibility rules are published before nominations open.
Confirm eligibility
Qualifying assessment status and correct classification are verified.
Compare evidence
Documented practice, employee experience and assessment findings are compared within the grouping.
Publish & retain
Placements are published on the disclosed cycle and supporting evidence is retained for review.

Rankings exist to make progress visible against relevant peers — never to substitute for certification, and never for sale.
Publication cycle
Published on a fixed, disclosed cycle.
Industry rankings are published on a defined cycle disclosed at the time nominations open, with corrections published where a material error is identified.
