Applying is free of charge and WWEC assessor training and calibration are provided at no cost to accepted applicants. Assessors are appointed as independent contracted professionals, not employees, on a per-assignment basis; appointment is made for defined regions and sectors rather than globally, and does not guarantee assessment work or a minimum volume of assignments. Applicants are normally expected to have at least eight years of relevant professional experience in HR, ESG, audit, assessment, law, D&I or workplace governance, and to be available for approximately four to six assessment days per assignment plus periodic calibration sessions. Submitting an application does not create an appointment: appointment follows competence review, training, supervised assessment, calibration and a signed conflict-of-interest declaration.
