Who sits on the Council, and what each seat governs.
The Womenians Workplace Excellence Council™ is built from defined seats rather than personalities. Each seat carries a written remit, a fixed term and a conflict-of-interest duty, so decisions stay consistent whoever holds the chair.
The seats
Six roles, one standard.
Named members are published as each appointment is confirmed. Until then, the remit of every seat is published in full.
Council Chair
Appointed seat
Chairs Council reviews, holds the casting position on contested files, and is accountable for the impartiality of every decision.
Standards Lead
Appointed seat
Maintains the eight dimensions, the assessment criteria and the scoring guide, and approves any change to the standard.
Assessment Lead
Appointed seat
Approves and assigns assessors, oversees assessment quality, and confirms each file is complete before it reaches decision.
Evidence & Integrity Lead
Appointed seat
Oversees the evidence portal, data protection and survey privacy controls, and the handling of confidential submissions.
Appeals Member
Appointed seat
Hears appeals and complaints separately from the members who took the original decision.
Independent Member
Appointed seat
Provides external challenge from outside the WWEC programme and reviews conflict-of-interest declarations.
Terms of membership
How members are appointed and held to account.
Appointment
Members are invited by the Council and confirmed in writing before any file is reviewed.
Term
Seats are held for a fixed term and reviewed on renewal.
Conflicts
Every member declares interests on appointment and withdraws from any file where impartiality could be questioned.
Confidentiality
Applicant evidence, scores and reasoning stay inside the Council portal and are never shared externally.
Request an invitation
Nominate your organisation for a Council seat.
Organisations, subject-matter experts and institutions can request a Council membership invitation. Requests are reviewed by the Council; an invitation is issued only where a seat is available and independence can be maintained.
Council membership is not a route to certification. Members may not review, influence or benefit from any file involving their own organisation.
